KMR 2nd Step Kitten Weaning Food is a complete food for growing kittens. KMR 2ndStep Kitten Weaning Food may be mixed with water;however for a more gradual change from queen’s milk to a solid diet it is recommended that it be mixed with KMR . KMR 2nd Step Kitten Weaning Food should be fed until kittens are 7 to 8 weeks old when they can be fed commercial kitten or cat food. All changes should be made over a one week period.

Kittens that are on their feet and able to lap out of a bowl are ready for introduction to KMR 2nd Step Kitten Weaning Food. Weigh the kittens at least once a week to monitor weight gain and adequacy of feeding.More or less food may be needed by individual kittens to satisfy their food requirements for optimum performance.

Mix KMR 2nd Step Kitten Weaning Food using one of the methods in the table below.

Feeding Directions: Feed kittens three times per day

Small kittens (8 oz average)………………………………………2 teaspoons powder

Provide fresh clean water at all times.

Determine the daily amount of KMR 2nd Step powder to be fed to the kitten using the information on the label. Reconstitute powder by using three parts (a part is any measuring device used, a teaspoon,tablespoon or cup) of water to one part powder for the first few days. This will make a thin gruel. As kittens grow decrease the amount of water mixed with the powder until weaning food is an oatmeal consistency. Remove the uneaten portion within two hours.
