Herbion Cough Drops is an optimally balanced herbal formulation that provides relief from cough, soothes sore throat and clears nasal passages. It temporarily relieves cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation associated with the common cold. It also provides temporary relief from the occasional minor irritation, pain, sore mouth and sore throat. Used as a cough suppressant and an oral anesthetic, 5.5 mg of menthol is present as an active ingredient in each drop.

Herbal Ingredients and their uses:

• Malabar nut (Adhatoda vasica) Malabar nut is an antitussive that suppresses dry cough and offers soothes a sore throat.
• Long pepper (Piper longum) Long pepper normalizes the production of mucus and treats cough and chest congestion resulting from the irritation of mucosa lining the lungs and airways.
• Hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis) Excess mucus in the airways can restrict respiration and lead to narrowing of the airways. Hyssop prevents this by eliminating excess mucus, allowing you to breathe more deeply and easily.
• Greater galangal (Alpinia galanga) Galangal herb treats the dry, tickling, and irritating cough that may lead to throat soreness and discomfort.
• Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) Liquorice is particularly suitable for dry cough as it normalizes the production of mucus, safeguarding the mucosa of the airways and throat from irritation and inflammation.

Suggested Use

• Adults and children 2 years of age and over: Dissolve 1 drop slowly in mouth. Repeat every 2 hours as needed or as directed by a doctor.
• Children under 2 years of age: consult a physician

Sore throat warning: If sore throat is severe, persists for more than 2 days, is accompanied or followed by fever, headache, rash, nausea or vomiting, consult a doctor promptly. These may be serious.

Ask a doctor before use if you have

• persistent or chromic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma or emphysema
• cough that is accompanied by excessive phlegm (mucus)

Stop use and ask a doctor if

• cough persists for more than 1 week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by fever, rash or persistent headache. These could be signs of a serious condition.
• sore mouth does not improve in 7 days
• irritation, pain or redness persists or worsens
